Building on the success of last year’s innaugural UDA Gala, this year is set to be even bigger!

You can expect more canapes, lifetime achievement and student awards, and this year’s NSW Favourite Place winner.

Our special guest speaker this year will be Elizabeth Watson-Brown MP.

Her portfolios are Infrastructure, Transport and Sustainable Cities. She was a practising architect from 1980 to 2021 and an adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland from 2009 to 2021.

She is passionate about providing well designed houses for all, real action on climate change, and the development of new, sustainable industries and jobs.

We can’t wait to hear her inspiring words!

Contribute to our showreel!

Attending the Gala? Send us an image that captures your experience of urban design in 2024 for inclusion in our showreel.

The showreel is a series of images that will play on a loop on a large screen throughout the Gala. So it’s a great chance to showcase a specific project, a personal achievement, your favourite graphic, inspirational place or anything of significance to you.

Send your high resolution image to the UDA email address, along with a short title for your slide, e.g. your name, the name of the project or graphic, and the designer.  Submissions close Friday 08 November.

For inspration, check out the 2023 Gala showreel below. What a great showcase of urban design in 2023!
