Urban Design Forum is a non-profit organisation that supports public interest outcomes in our cities. They believe in the role that cities can play in solving the major challenges of our time.

The Forum has three roles: creating a supportive network of urban designers and allied professionals, sharing knowledge on best practice urbanism, and researching and advocating for better urban education, systems and outcomes.

Founded in 1978, the Urban Design Group (UDG) is a campaigning membership organisation with over 1000 members who care about the quality of life in our cities, towns and villages, and believe that raising standards of urban design is central to its improvement.

The Urban Design Forum convenes civic leaders to confront the defining issues in New York City’s built environment. They are an independent membership organisation that empowers professionals of diverse backgrounds, industries, and perspectives to shape a better future for all New Yorkers.
